Do I "believe" in Christian rap? Well, I know it happens...I have a few CD's with it on there so I guess it's not a fairly tale.
Yes, I believe in it.

Does my church support it? What, you mean the Christian church as a whole or that building that I go to a few days of the week?
If it's the latter, I don't know...I don't think the building can talk.  ;D
But I get what you're asking; overall, when it's done to glorify God, I'm sure my church would have no problem with it. In fact I'm sure many folks like myself actually like it, buy it and listen to it.

I've nothing wrong with someone who's not down with Christian rap. Not everyone is at the same place in their walk and maybe they won't every be. Still, it's a big world...6,000,000,000 people last time I counted...and all of them need to hear the Gospel. Some of them may actually respond if it's communicated to them in a language that they relate to.

The Holy Spirit called out to me over 15 years ago through a bunch of jazz musicians who were praising His name (Take 6) so I won't doubt that He can also use Cross Movement or Mo' Bigga or da Truth to reach someone else.

Sounds about right... But this opens up a whole nother can of worms... And I get off work at 7.... LOL... so, can we keep it above the belt until I get home??? LOL...

Rap has an orgin of voodoo and paganism??? Never knew that though... I mean, since a lot of us listen to it...and still do, as saved and sanctified Christians, does thay make the marginal percentage of us witches and warlocks??? So if the history of fried chicken had to do with unGodly things are we to stop serving dinner at church too??? I was wondeing, cause I loves a golden fried chicken wang with hot sauce.

I need an online abbreviations manual/ translator... LOL... cause I thought you was talkin about my mama in swahili or something with the ROTFLMBO.... hahaha!!!

Back to the topic, who are some gospel rappers out there???

ROTFL =Rolling On The Floor Laughing

LMBO = Laughing My Butt Off.. Sometimes "B" is replaced with a "A"

There are tons of Gospel rappers out there... just like in everything else... there are various styles within the genre...

from east coast flava to dirtty souf or the more socially conscience ones... then you have the cotton candy ones that don't talk about nothing really but keeps the message positive...

at the end of the day we all justify what we do and it has nothing to do with the word. For me because I have studied under men who know a whole lot more about it than me,I am convinced by the evidence that when you rap you ar participating in an act that at it's deepest origins has to do with witchcraft. That is all I am saying.

I mean I may not be a homosexual but you still will not find me in or at a gay pride parade. I know the origin of 666 so u will not see me getting a tattoo just because my birthday ig June 6th 2006 or whatever reason I come up with. I know it's origin.

That is all I'm saying.

Finds a seat way in the back by the window and commences to spectating with hopes that someone will elaborate on the Chirstmas, easter, voodoo, chicken wings. witchcraft, apples and oranges. Colossians 1:15-17
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

God made nothing with "origins in witchcraft" as everything had it's origin in Christ. The flesh and sin have perverted that which was created perfect. I believe that this includes rap and all other forms of music and art as expression.

The word "all" in the text above is pa=v in Greek, transliterated as pas and it means:
individually:
each, every, any, all, the whole, everyone, all things, everything
collectively:
some of all types

Everything.

I'm just sayin'...  8)

I do believe in christian rap the main reason being that I have done it since I was 16. My church didnt believe in it at first but my Bishop gave us a chance and every since then its been non stop every sunday lol. I am a minister in training and so is the rest of the group we pray and study before writing because somebody soul needs to hear the word and not everybody will listen to singing and preaching. We have gone into churchs that didnt think what we were doing was Godly but by time we were done ministering the anointing was so heavy in the place they wanted more and have passed the word on to other churchs about us. Understand if we drop the whole point of it being rap it is a form of praise and thats what matters. This is just my opinion dont hurt me lol Be blessed all
