I just LOOOOOVE me some James Hall. I know everybody can't get with that rich vibrato, but to me James Hall seems to do it just right. Not TOO much wobble, but just enough. And I LOOOOVE the VOC CD!! It is da BOMB!! Thank God for good quality choir music like this! I direct a high school choir and I have already decided that I am teaching them at least 5 songs off of that CD!! ;D

It is really churchy, not quite the "crazy" stuff that we're used to hearing from WAP, but still very much has James Hall's signature on it! I LOVE THIS WHOLE CD!! I'm sure you'll love it, Musiqisme.

Bronzee I KNOW you are jammin' to this CD!! I can't WAIT until James Hall and WAP "Live at the Foxwoods" comes out! Last I heard it should be out in October. I'll be first in line! ;D

some may disagree but james hall & wap is probaly gospel most consistent artist although he doesnt consistently release material like once a year which i would like to see happen. melvin & co. might also be the only band to have been with the same group for the longest as well (with the exception of john peters being added on his 3rd cd i believe)

Oh I have NO DOUBT that James Hall is the most consistent gospel artist. He has his signature style, but yet he still keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what he's going to do next. James Hall was releasing CD's quite frequently in the 90's. His first CD was released in 1994, then the follow up in 1995, then he had releases in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2001. This current CD has been the longest he's gone without releasing.

I love James's consistency though. I can pretty much rest assure that I WILL love his next project. I've NEVER been disappointed in James Hall!!

unfortunately i have been disappointed twice

1. the christmas album shouldve been Live in true james hall fashion (reggie killed on his interlude)

2. there was an album named messiah that i was told was hot but most of the songs were scrapped when we are at war replaced it

WAP member Trenise bullock (the soprano section leader) said that the "Messiah" album (which was "Handel's Messiah" in James Hall style) was never recorded, and was replaced by the CHRISTMAS album. The record company scrapped it before production. "We Are at War" was hot tho. The Christmas album would have been better live, but there were some tru gems on it (like "We Three kings" and "The King Has Come").

If you like the rich quality choir sound, which I know you do, Musiqisme26, then I KNOW you won't be disappointed with the VOC album! I also heard that the upcoming release from James Hall and WAP has a similar vibe to "According to James Hall Chapter III", so if you liked the vibe of that CD, then you should like his new one.

Nah not sure about that, Musiq. I'm a member of James Hall's fan group on Yahoo though. I'll try to make sure and ask on there and see if anyone knows.

OK I was just at church last night, and my church's bookstor had three copies of this CD in stock, so I think it's safe to assume that the CD is out now, for all of you wanting to get it. You should be able to check with your local record stores or Christian bookstores.

This was extra good news for me, because James Hall & WAP's new CD is going to be on the same level, so my church bookstore should have that project as well. And to top it all off, my church gives me 2 free CD's per month!! Woo hoo, God is good!! ;D
