I have GOT to check these out. the only organ video I have is John Peters. He's AWESOME to watch, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for learning. But like I said, it's AWESOME to watch and listen.
john peters can play as good as anyone i've ever seen! but, and it's the most important but; he cannot really teach what he is doing, he is good for show! you as a musician should want to understand what your doing, that way when you get tired of it, you can just change it! understanding in all, is what ya want! even if a person can't play as well as another, can show you more with understanding......i can understand everything john is doing, but it's because i have been taught, but now trying to match what he does is another, that takes time, and practice, and patience............personally, i love what pj does, he is a better teacher than all of them, besides him is robert stephens if you can find his stuff! i would imagine if sabastian had a tape out, it would be awesome, because if you listen to his questions, he always asks the right questions.......and i feel he does all possible to bring the best! i am a questions person, i feel you can learn a lot more from questioning,in my learning, i asked a lot of questions, and i feel i am able to understand all chords, as well as their intentions, as well as their purpose because of it......im no master, but i have learned a lot from these guys.......you shouldnt even consider any other, other than hammondman, he is trully blessed to teach.......stop looking at the way a guy plays, unless you are studying it for the true necessities within the chords and progressions........you'd be surprised to know, how many guys can play with all those phat chords, and if ya ask them to play a simple hymn, it's not possible, and they cant even play a song, simply useing the 1-4-5 in the right place! im saying guys have chords, but no structure! and this is the most critical thing in playing! everything really comes from the proper utilization of the 1-4-5's even the proper placement of the extended chords......but who am i?
