...yeah, we all have bad days or get stuck in a rut. The thing is that I've seen you play. You're still learning. Don't get down on yourself for it. You have to learn to establish your groove and make the music feel good before you throw in any kind of fills. If you don't know about fills or don't know how or where to throw them in, just play that groove till the end. As you keep playing, you'll develop this. You also have to learn how to sit and watch how close you get to the drums. I wasn't there that night so I can't give my full assesment on how the keyboardist did. Another thing, if the headphones were unplugged, why did you keep playing without using the headphones

That's a no no. That means you chose to kill the whole song instead of plugging them things in and playing. Keep working on your timing and work on loosening up your grip like I adviced you the other day.
