Bless your heart! I was raised Mennonite! I was attending a Baptist church, but have recently moved to a non-denominational one that's really "alive". All I can say to you is this; I am used to being the only "clear" colored person in the room. If people notice, honey, they forget! One time I was asked to play the Anthem for a Black History Month celebration of gospel music. I very nicely told the Pastor who requested the song, that I didn't know it. He quickly asked why didn't know it and then just as quickly realized he had forgotten I was white

Now that stuff does happen everyone in a while

I also knew that I needed a different church style, yet, I am grateful of the church/lifestyle I grew up in. I still adhere to many of the ways, just louder and faster
