Hello saints. I thought it might be good to have everyone share some tips GOD has given them throughout your time working, either in church or at the job, that can help motivate others that you work with. Here are some of my favorites:
1.
Cards for no reason. Every now and then, unexpectedly, give a few cards to your choir or group just to let them know you are aware of the sacrifice they make and you love them.
2.
A bag of warm fuzzies. This is simple and very fun to do. Get a bunch of bags and decorate them, one for every member in your choir. Place the name of each person in your choir / group on the bags. The week before, tell everyone to write something good, something that they admire, about everybody else in the group / choir, but tell them
not to sign it. Then, the next rehearsal, have them put what they wrote about each member in the member's bag. At the end of the rehearsal, everyone will have a bag full of warm thoughts from someone in the choir / group, but they won't know who wrote it!
3.
Every now and then, especially in the winter, have warm lemon tea for the choir / group before they sing. Warm lemon will make them more ready to sing anyway.
4.
Have dress codes that no one knows of except the choir. It makes people feel special when they know that one day they will wear red and black, then the next Sunday come as you are, then the next all white, etc. This is of course unless you always wear robes or already have a uniform for the choir.
5.
Have a day off every now and then.

Sometimes we are so scared people will get lazy that we run them into the ground! Have an announced day off . . . such as the third Saturday of every other month, or something like that.
6.
Recognize acheivements. A bulletin board highlighting choir concerts or accomplishments will make your people feel special.
7.
Sporadic socials. Now watch it, because there are some people who will run this into the ground because all they
ever want to do is socialize. But let's say you normally rehearse ninety minutes every week. Maybe two weeks before Christmas, rehearse for one hour and then socialize for the next thiry minutes . . . over fruit and warm drinks, playing your favorite gospel in the background!
8.
Be dependable. Folks may moan and complain, but
everyone likes structure and stability. Those who struggle with it need it the most.
Lovingly insist . . . in love, INSIST . . . on attendance at rehearsal, punctuality, and stretch them to do their best. I promise you, those who struggle the most in these areas
will end up respecting you more than anyone else.

Those are my ideas. Any more out there?
Be Blessed, everyone!
