That's one thing about Twinkie, she will tell you if you're doing something she doesn't want done. After all, she is Dr. Mattie Moss Clark's daughter. As for Kim Burrell, I think she did the right thing in telling the musician to stop. She didn't want music at that point, so she politely told him to stop playing for a minute.

In a nutshell, if you do not know the song, or if you are very new at playing for someone that has a celebrity standing, don't get on the instrument. Be humble. If you can't do it, you can't do it. There is no shame or embarrassment in that. It should motivate you to practice and learn as much as you can about music ministry.
    As for dissing musicians...there really is no room for that. Just be gracious, but serious. Be Blessed!!!

Doc , the Bishop has seen this video before and I just saw it again, just to sure, and I will disagree BIGTIME with you. Kim Burell is known to dawg a musician out quickly as she did on this, BUT she has gotten alot better as of late cause she has really understood that everybody hasn't graduated from Berkely School of Music, AND just bring your own musician to cut down on any problems. See...that's why when people give that stop signal. I stop. I don't try to come back in. He was asking for it. I've given people the stop signal indescreetly before, and they felt that they "had it", only to get the fool-if-you-don't-stop-I'm-going-to-unplug-you look. I've even unplugged someone before--at least had someone else do it, because I was playing.

But I think she was looking for a little more "fullness", he was laid back while she was singing. It was dragging the song, if you ask me.

Yeah that was Derrick Jackson.  I didn't even see the whole video before I wrote this comment but she should have had him play.  He is sick.  But Twinkie is a little rude though.  She is good friends with the organist at my church and she went with us to Africa.  She's a beast.  Don't get on her bad side.  LOL!

I think she handled it well. I have seen worst.  She kept smiling, and gave the person instructions. Like someone mentioned before WE DO NOT KNOW EVERY SONG, atleast I know I don't.

IMPO I think she should have played it herself considering her ability.
