new to Gospel Music...and I'm the Worship Pastor!!!

Hey all...I am new to Gospel music.  Not the genre, but actually the ability to play Gospel.

I pretty much play blues scales over the typical "shout" run in the bass.  I need some help.

Can anyone turn me on to some good sounding chords and possibly runs.

I play keys and back up our pastor on the organ.  I use a lot of Maj7ths and 9ths, but I want to get that fat gospel sound out of my stuff.

Why do you want to get that phat sound out of you? You don't have to do that. Just don't play the Maj7ths and the 9ths if you don't want phat sounds all the time.

Look around the site. You will find a lot of useful info.
