I get $175 month, but i ain't complaining.  There was a time when I was getting nothing, God is good.

I left from a ministry that was my FIRST paying gig ever!!!!! I was just starting out on the keys, and they threw me under the bus and said play. I was scared as i dont know what!!!!! I had to learn to hold down the service on my own. And if i didn't.....my Apostle made sure i knew about it. Then the glorious day came, and they called me to the office and handed me a CHECK!!!!!!  $400.00..... I couldn't believe it! Then i got a raise. Im now playing for my Fathers church and I get paid half of what i was getting from the other church. Wish it were more, but i am grateful to be able to minister with the Bishop

Well, for me, the money is for the purpose of taking of my family, but I do think that if a musician will be receiving pay, it is important that he is working for the church to give himself to the ministry.  That is my honest belief, and I've been doing this for 15 years now fulltime.

I was getting as much as $700/week with a 9-5, but I'm at $550/week at this church right now with a 9-5 since I got laid off from the other church. I have to keep a 9-5.....you can't count on these church jobs here in Detroit.......you can't count on the 9-5 jobs......you can only count on God!
