First of all.........The bible tells us that we all only know in parts, so with that being said, no one knows everything there is to know about Gods Word. Now if you do an extensive study on the Acts of the Apostles, on the day of Pentecost you will see that history tells us that when the Holy Spirit fell upon the Apostles they began to speak with OTHER tongues. In this verse the word tongues literaly means dialect/language. How do we know this? because the next verse tells us that every man/woman heard the word in their own language. Now history tells us that there were people from at least 16 different nations. So when they spoke with "other tongues" they were speaking literal languages, not this hababashonuffalover stuff that you hear people babbling off these days. Now with that being said, why is it that everybody who "claims" they are speaking in tongues appear to be saying the almost exact same thing. Not to mention the fact that no one understands a word they are saying. Now Corinthians tells us that if there is no interpreter then the understanding is unfruitful. Now there is a difference in New Tongues,Other Tongues and Unknown Tongues.

New tongues: Holiness in conversation

Other tongues: Literal Languages

Unknown Tongues: Speaking mysteries in the Spirit (Corinthians says if there is no interpreter then it is an unknown tongue and must then be done off to yourself to keep down confusion in the church) refrence Cor 14:28 & Cor 14:33

In closing I would like to say that I do believe that speaking in tongues is relevent, however not a requirement for salvation. Now if speaking in tongues was the only evidence of the Holy Ghost , then show me in the bible where after the Holy Ghost fell upon Jesus like a dove He spoke in tongues. Secondly, why didnt the thief on the cross speak in tongues but still went to Heaven?

Ok Im with you on that, in that I do believe that a woman can speak, preach, pray, be a prophetess, be a missionary OK, but where is it in the scripture that a woman can be a bishop and an apostle, and what scripture can you give me for that.  I don't care how much God uses you in whatever you do, you STILL have to know your place as a woman, and as a man and work in that...

Our enemy will use whatever means necessary to divide us. Sometimes he'll even use the unrenewed areas of our own minds to divide us against each other. A lot of times he'll do this by focusing our attention on everyone else, instead of where it really needs to be, which is on ourselves.

We can have all the religeon stuff down pat and still have NO FRUIT in our lives. The enemy is also known as the accusor, so if we get into "accusing" people, then who's work are we really doing? Walking in love means that we lay our own prejudices and short sightedness down and put others before ourselves, trusting that God, not us, is God and that He will show Truth to all that ask.

Lord, I pray for myself as well as everyone reading this now. Please help us to see You more clearly. Please help us to see ourselves as You see us Lord. Show us where to walk. In the name of Jesus I ask this. Amen.

As for me, I will receive from the Lord through whoever He chooses: the Holy Spirit, man, or woman. I lay down those titles and positions that divide us and raise up Jesus.

Just a question.

Where in scripture does it say you can become a self appointed Bishop, Apostle, Prophet, Dr. So and So (w/o a degree). But I'm sure you know that we have them.
