I ate Indian food once. I felt like I was on a Star Trek episode eating Vulcan or Klingon food; the spices were so foreign to me.

... and then you'all start talking about OxTails! LOL....  ;D

Lord help me if I'm ever a missionary somewhere!

Please corrext me if I'm wrong but didn't Jesus Christ himself have long hair?  He did in all of the drawn depictions I have seen.  And also, doesn't the bible speak against cutting the hair and squaring the beard? 

I don't totally disagree with you, but this is why so many people are confused.  One man syas his interpretation of the bible is more truth than the next man.  I admit, I am not the most holy in the bunch, but I know where my help comes from.  God is good because he is a God of second chances.  He does forgive you when you fall.  A lot of people who profess preach the word may wind up in Hell when it's all said and done.  This has probably been said already, but I aint about to read 10 pages worth of replies.  NEXT!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you on ABOUT everything......till you said this.   :(

"MODEST" doesn't mean "cheap" sir.  It means don't come to church in a purple suit with a pimp hat, huge Gold Chain and diamond rings on every finger. 

It means, for the ladies, don't come to church with a too-tight mini skirt.

It doesn't mean that you should some to church wearing $70 suits.  If the Lord has blessed me with a job making a significant amount of money, should I walk in a store and get a $70 suit, or a $500 suit?

It's views like this that have folk believing that a Pastor shouldn't have a nice home or drive the best car or wear the best clothes.  Because he's supposed to be "humble".  HUH?!?!

Being humble isn't wearing cheap clothes or being poor.    ;)

My statement was based on somebody who can AFFORD a $500 suit.  Not somebody who has to rob Peter to pay Paul, buy the suit, then not be able to take care of other obligations.

You know why because people dont think. Nobody thinks "hey let me spend 40 dollars on shoes instead of 140" Save a 100 everytime they buy shoes and have money for there child to get an education that when they are finished there degree will make them worth 60,000 of top
