This is what it has come to dude. Right now, I'm sure their are cat's out their thinking I'm a hater(I've just about enough of that word, too. I'm too old for that mess. People need to stop making excuses for incompentency...), 'cause they haven't been taught what it means to be a musician. They think learning a bunch of fills, is what makes a musician great. If I was taught that way, I'd probably feel the same way they do about what I'm saying...

Go on youtube, and count how many "shed" clips you actually see...

On the real, the licks were hot but it seemed like it was just the same thing over and over:  16ths, 32nds, an occasional rudiment just played over the whole set.  Dudes gotta realize, other than Aaron Spears on the Usher gig, drummers dont hit like that on the regular.  It wsn;t no dynamics or nothin, just chops.  I'm not hatin, but I wish somebody could post somethin else that i could learn from

You're not hatin', you just call it like you see it. I was not impressed at all with that shed clip. I really didn't watch it all because it was so noisy.
I can't even rate that clip. Undecided

 Sad

When I commented on the skeeter clip, noting that he didn't do anything ORIGINAL, not everyone agreed.

It seems enough is finally enough now.  lol.  Cheesy

Jamal is a good friend of mine, I respect everyone's feedback, but for the record Aaron & Jamal are not brothers,Jamal's father is Pastor Moore & has a church in Ft.Washington Maryland

I think these guys are great and we really got to give them the benefit of the doubt. I really believe these guys know how to play the rudiments. I think we are just getting a sneek peek into there playing.  Maybe they will post another clip of them using different rudiments, dynamics and time signatures. Always remember that we got an audience of ONE! and thats the LORD JESUS !!

I agree!

I truly believe that in an official setting like this that it's okay to let your hair down and have fun, it's all improv. I'm pretty sure, these guys don't play like this in a Church service or a performance. Don't get it twisted, I also understand on the other side of this discussion, there should be structure, technique, and full understanding of theory. In this clip, and the majority of the other clips like this, the purpose was'nt to intruct or inform, but to entertain. I really think it's not that serious, it's all in good fun.
