4, 5, and 6 Strings

I was wondering that If I get a program that only contains software that supports a 4 string would it be hard to take that knowledge to a 5 or 6 string. Would it help me any to use that program. If not are there any suggestions for any programs that support the 5 and 6 string. The program I'm talking about teasches scales, modes, bass riffs and blues riffs I saw it on a site www.get it all. net can it help me on a 5 string.

There shouldn't be any difference.  If you play a 4 string then you can play exactly what your program shows you, if you have a 5 or 6 then that just means that you have an extended range of notes (octaves) that you can choose from.

You can go up easily but not down. Some things like certain chords will only work with more strings.
