I don't why, but 4 some reason, i didn't really care for this. :-\ Not to say I don't appreciate the post...great find by the way, thanks a lot. But just the drumming, it really didn't do too much for me. It surprises me because I thought Aaron, Gerald, Erik, and Brian...WOW!!!! But this just didn't get me going like I thought it would...
Just play music...

I guess the older I get, the more I start losing interest in clips like these.

Just a fallow up.  In other situatinons I like these guys.  Shed clips just don't move me much anymore.  I'm left with that :-\ feeling.  Not that I don't appreciate them because they are entertaining (some of them are).

I do have a question.  Does anyone know of anything other than the Jill Scott album that has Erik Tribbett on it?

It's clips like this that make me question people's musical aptitude when they say things like Chris Coleman is better than Dennis Chambers or even on his level as I saw in a clip awhile ago.   It's simply irresponsible musically to make such comparisons.   This clip also shows their limitations rather than their better sides.  Although I may never reach their level of playing, there is a huge gap between these guys and the Dave Weckl's, Dennis Chambers, Will Kennedy's, Vinnie Coulita's, Thomas Lang's, etc. of the world.

This clip also shows their limitations rather than their better sides.

You hit the nail on the head.

As for PearlDrummer1, and drumzalicious -- I can understand where you two are coming from. Back when I was 20, I would've felt the exact same way. However, now, this is uninteresting noise.

After hearing this stuff for so long, you kind of long for something that has depth. None of the music I listen to has any of this kind of stuff in it.

I must admit Im in the same boat as those guys when it comes to shred, and some of you kids can kill us at shredin BUT when it comes to getting the gigs we get called first why! All that shredin stuff means nothing to an artist! A lot of you are fast but not seasoned and that comes with time and practise! I see kids who can out shred Gerald but when you hear them in a groove or backing an artist they go limp and sound like young tallent!

Yo is it really that serious?  These dudes are pros.  They are just doing that for fun.  Its not like they are doin it all the ime, they too busy to have the time to do it and why be involved in something when you cant EVER have fun doin it?  Besides, when it comes down to it we know that they can bring more than chops to the table.  They all got sick pockets when they need to have them

The clip was ok. I would have liked to hear each of them do what they did to a loop individually. All i can get from that is a bunch of cymbals, tom, and foot work, just a bunch of noise
