Yeah, I know.  I think if you click on the link where the Boss unit was recommended it takes ou to a page where the whole list of Roland/Boss units are.  That's also the part that makes me somewhat curious about the sound quality of the Boss unit compared to the Edirol unit. In essence, the Boss unit appears to have more features than the Edirol and it's $170 cheaper.  There has to be some difference in there that makes the Edirol more expensive (although the difference being that I'm a lot dumber than the person who bought the Boss unit has crossed my mind).
I believe the Edirol unit is geared more toward field/live recording and I believe has a higher sampling rate when saving to wav file. It is clearly a product for the professional. The Boss unit is geared toward multi-track recording for guitarists and bassists but more so as a songwriting notepad. Not a pro-recording unit by any means.

In addition, I'm considering buying the Boss product or it's 8 track big brother version! Most likely the smaller unit though as my only plan for it was to create demos for potential employers without being tied to my PC! I still use my PC for full song recordings though!

I'm going to say this hoping it will help you or someone.

1.It's all about GOD and Giving Praise to GOD

2.We as musicians have to be careful what and how we play doing WORSHIP SERVICE.
Because we can ruin our Pastors Message, break the Sprit.

3.Doing prayer time, the music should not be anything that trys to show off our skills.

4.Show off your skills if you must, doing offering times, before service or after.

5.Trying to jam the other musicians by trying to out play them is a NO NO.With Loud VOLUME,by doing this you can do harm to
 your singers voices.

6.Last you had some nice finger work, but how did what you were playing go alone with the TIME and what The
PIANO was playing?

7.Why was there a camara aim at you doing worship service? Do you think that was right?

Something to think on the Church and Worship service is not a play  for Entertainers
It's a time to Worship and Put GOD out front and not US.

GOD BLESS

Well this is what I posted to him, trying to teach him alone with others with the truth. I thought that's what this webpage is all about. Point out one time, he was put down? I did not one time say.
I'm all perfect than anyone else.

I'm sharing things I have learned about Worship Service years ago.

I've been on both side of the road playing for Entertainer and Worship Service. Also a Fly on the wall listening and learning from some of Gospel greats many who're still with us and not.

I remember one time, I  played the beginning bass run in Worship service to Engine #9 around 8 years old and it fitted in well. I was jumped all over for playing that and told why not.
school was in.

It produces a very good reproduction of the live performance.  The bass reproduction is awesome.  I've been sitting the thing on a monitor and it picks up everything just fine although given the proximity to me, the bass is usually very heavy in the mix (as it should be).  It quickly and easily up and downloads files to the computer. In some ways it may be overkill for what I use it for and the Boss is a very feature heavy unit for the money.  Thanks for pointing it out.  maybe we should have a new products section of the forum.

My brother (and sisters if there are any in this thread) I would seriously like to just drop the subject. To me its somewhat of a dead horse now. The truth always prevails and never has to be defended. I would like to leave it at that.

BTW, I think Im going to go with the Boss, Im always looking to cut cost- Thanks DW for the insight on the device, Im going to hopefully look on ebay for it.

You played some sweet harmonies with your keys player.  I really liked it!  The only thing I would say is give the keys a little more space to breathe whilst the music has broken down when your preacher/pastor has the floor.  Sit back and let the spirit lead you and don't put pressure on yourself into playing overworked solo.

Playing back video clips of yourself playing is really helpful.  You get the chance to see your best playing and mistakes.  You can also see how well your plucking and fretting technique comes together.  If you record yourself just to see how cool you look then you are really defeating the purpose!

Keep up the good work!  I can see God is blessing you with your craft.  He is going to make you one very ill bass player very soon!
