I think I need to add a Lakland to my arsenal.  I like the sound and tone of that bass.  I've played one the about 2 weeks ago and I must say I was very impressed.

i was thinking about a lakland myself then i played a ken smith mw 6 string

I higly reccomend trying this bass although it has a somewhat different sound than the lakland i think you will find the tone shaping capabilites quite amazing !

I also played the lakland 55-02 that same day and it was also something to experience

I would also HIGHLY reccomend the davd eden 410 xst BEST CAB EVER !, although the XLT is similar it does not handle the low B string as well as the XST because o the Frequencies (36 compared to 50 with the XLT, MHz that is)

However my choice would be the MW by the slimest of margins.

You are 100% correct on this.  I'm going to get the 410XLT so that I will be able to cut through the mix well and have a 210XST for added lows.  if you check eden's forum, you hear this all the time. thanks to play4zero, I will be an edenite at the first of the year.
