Hey guys.

Im in need of some good advise.

I am new to the whole recording thing and need a bit of help.

I have a minimal setup:

2.4 ghz pentium 4
Delta 1010lt sound card
Korg triton LE
Roland JV30
Alesis studio monitors
Mackie mixing desk

Currently running Logic 5.5
Wavelab
Bunch of VST's and plug-ins

Firstly is it a good idea running good old Logic 5.5. Is it necessary to upgrade and if so what to.

I just wanna lay down good quality tracks and see where it goes from there.

Somebody please help.

God bless

Well, I read alot of post and I am hearing alot of people use either pro tools or Sonar 5. I have a friend who uses Sonar 5 with his PC and he says he likes the setup but when ask many others they say a MAC and pro tools. I am so confused that I have not been able to decide.
