Yo fellas. Its that time again!! Its time to step ya game up and get on this hottness!!
I recently acquired a new addition to my dvd collection. It is Tetsuo Sakuari's Gentle Hearts Tour 2004 on DVD. Its has Greg Howe (one of my favorite gutarist) and Tetsuo Sakuari (the bas player from Akira Jimbo's Pulse DVD) and some other Japanese cat that is playing lights out keyboards. It is an import so it is going to be extremely hard to find. But if you can get your hands on it you will not be dissappointed. This dvd is not only for the hardcore Dennis fan, but serious fusion fan. The music is very digestable because its pretty groove oriented, but it rocks pretty hard.
My favorite cut on the whole thing is the offering of Punk Jazz. This is a Weather Report tune that was written for Jaco Pastorius by Joe Zawinul. Tony Williams played drums on the original recording. I like this tune because of the groove. This song is all about space and letting the soloist have the space and support that he needs to say what they are feeling.
Here is a clip from the DVD. This was posted on the board a while back, but I just wanted to hit you with a taste of whats on the DVD. This song is Extraction. It was originally on the album by Victor Wooten, Greg Howe and Dennis. The album is of the same title as the song.
ENJOY YASELVES!!
