I got to play a Peavey Cirrus.

I was able to play the Peavey Cirrus a little yesterday. Im not sure if the dude had the action lowered but it was quite easy to fret and move around. This was the bass he had. He was running it thru his studio equipment and not an actual bass amp. The neck is very thin. It kinda felt like this 4 str Peavey Grind this other dude has I got to play.

I've played a Cirrus before (upside down) just because I was curious about all the hype that I had heard about them.  I actually liked it alot....even upside-down! lol

If Peavy ever made a lefty version of this bass I'd have to get one ASAP.  How did you like it?

It was nice to play on. I just mostly learned I need to lower the action on my strings that low then I probably can get around much better. It was a nice bass and very light. I still like the feel of the Ibanez BTB series though. I feel more like a man on it. LOL  :D It probably in the sting spacing. The Cirrus string spacing was tight like mine. You have to be precise to double pluck on it.

I've played that bass and it felt simular to the peavey cirrus that would run about $700. it sounds a lil different but it felt the same. Oh I like the way it felt.

The Peavey Cirrus is my favorite bass. Hopefully, I can find a 4 string (I'm simple) for a decent price somewhere.

I just bought one and should have it today or tomorrow. I will post some feedback once I've played it a bit.

The Peavey Cirrus has been out for quite awhile under different names.  I have an earlier version called the Peavey Unity model.  It's a neck through with solid koa wings that I bought for a song.  If you can find one I would recommend the PJ setup since it's easy to find replacement pickups.  The beauty of this model is that it's active/passive, unlike the newer Cirrus models.

Well, I knew it was too good to be true! While it is a small & light bass and really good looking, it's just not for me! Mine arrived with a horrible truss buzz when you play the E string! The action was really low (I did like that) but the pickup placement is right where I usually play and they felt like they were in the way! I changed the E string thinking it may be the string but the buzz is in the neck! I'm returning it tomorrow!

Oh well!

I must say, I'm suprised. I've had mine for 2-3 yrs. and I like it more and more as I get better. :(
