Clear Sound??
« on: December 23, 2006, 07:50:24 PM »
How do you get a clear sound from your snare.
My by tuned it one time and it was clear you didn't hear alot buzz from
the snare wires but u still heard the snares.
When I play like today when i do single strokes i hear alot of buzz or when i hit the center one tap i hear the snare wires I know i need to re-tune it just how to get that clear sound

Replace the head... make sure your snare wires ae not stretched or damaged in anyway. Always turn te snares off when not using the drum. You may need to replace the snare wires themselves. Also make sure the tuning rods on either side of the snare wires have not loosened... This can happen especially if you rimshot that are on the batter side of thge drum. the bottom will loosen at times.
