I think everyone just needs to chill out for a second.
There have been a reasonable number of threads/posts/member activities lately that, to me, have been storm-in-a-tea-cup type situations. (Shredding arguments, personal attacks - & don't even lie with the "it's all said in love" & "It ain't personal!" comments, Spanky dissing posts (Come on guys - he's human just like us & deserves just as much respect as any other human), members leaving, over zealous members, ignorant young new members etc).
I hope that we ride these little storms out & don't lose more (well respected & new) members who are literally smashing their keyboards everytime they log on to LGM.
There's other ways to channel frustration & anger people...
So, in light of the recent developments & the fact that IT'S CHRISTMAS, let's reflect on the year that was (2006) on LGM.
I'll start this off for everyone & then you guys can follow up with your own personal memories:
LGM MEMORIES OF 2006!
Sad:
1. Losing LGM "drumming" members.
2. Not being able to fully explore ALL the drumming advice given here during practice time.
Good:
1. Learning new fills & expanding rudiments on to the set. (Like JD's clip. That fill is hott! & edough's 3/2 cascara & brazillian patterns, simple - yet effective).
2. Seeing my first Chris Dave video (Thanks Div).
3. BBD's posts (Always has me cracking up).
4. Div & RJ's multiple personalities (You just had to pull ER into it huh?).

5. Sorting out my little family's finances (not drum room related but CERTAINLY LGM inspired. Ya'll gotta spend time in the finance room - for real).
Merry Christmas!
