Christmas Traditions

What's your favorite Christmas Tradition?

For us we always open one present on Christmas eve. On Christmas morning I prepare a breakfast casserole and we go into the family room and open presents and eat.

We always have prayer before we open anything and thank God for blessing us with the gift of his Son.  Thank Him for blessing us to see another year and that he kept us all together.  Prayer for the homeless and those who are alone, depressed, sick.

When we arise, we talk about the Gift from God and then we pray prayers of thanksgiving & praise.

Christmas Eve is starting to be a day I spend with family that I won't see on Christmas. We eat gumbo and share gifts. We started this about 3 years ago.

We really don't have any traditions, we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus, pray, then open our presents on Christmas morning.  Whatever happens after that is anybody's guess, sometimes we eat at home, or go to relatives house.

Picnic at the beach is pretty much the standard for my family. or barbeque...
Yeah, I guess there's more emphasis on food & time together rather than presents.

Now if only the kids would stop expecting things... ::) ;D

We really don't do anything special. We get up, I tell Jesus Happy B-day,we open presents, we tell each other thank you, we thank the Lord, and then we proceed playing with our "toys".  Then we eat (the best part).  I love Christmas dinner ;D
