BRO. DIVERSE, YOU SURE DON'T MIND GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY TO HELP PEOPLE. YOU MUST BE A REALLY FAST TYPIST. YOU MUST BE REALLY GOOD AT TYPING BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOME LONG POSTS ON THIS SUBJECT. YOU ARE A LOT OF HELP MY BROTHER BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE MONEY LIKE YOU GUYS DO TO BE THROWING IT AWAY ON 59 TO 100 DOLLAR DVDS AND THERE NOT EVEN WORTH 5 DOLLARS. SO THANX FOR THE LONG YET HELPFUL REVIEWS. NO HELP ME OUT WITH PLAYING TWO HANDED CHORDS ALONG WITH A BASS PLAYER TO CONGREGATIONAL SONGS LIKE "I'M A SOLDIER IN THE ARMY OF THE LORD", OR "I MAGNIFY THE LORD CAUSE HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED". I PLAY IN ALL TWELVE JEYS AND I'M NO BEGINNER. I DON'T READ THOUGH.
Thank you for the workds of encouragement
I type ok im no speed typist but about 40 words a minute
anyway the best thing i can think of for playing with a bass player is to do one of two things
for close position chords play the third and seventh for minor chords that will be the flat third and flat sevtnth
for major chords the major third and major seventh
for dominant chords the major third and flat seventh
you can add the fifth and ninth to these chords too
it takes a while to get you may want o practive just playing melody first with the right hand while chording with the left
the other thing is to use 373 or 737 cjhords they are more open they were called carl thomas chords back in the day
finally for devotion songs for an edgey sound try
alt chord structures in
f they would be
EbAD for the f chord
DAbDb for the
Bb chord
EBbEb for the C chord
FBEb for the G chord
F# C f for the D chord
it is not comfortable to make these adjustments but these are some of the same things you would do if you were on the organ
