HELP! What are you playing for New Year's Service?

Praise God for the coming year. I was so busy gathering and practicing music for Xmas I didn't do a thing towards New Year service. HELP! Your recommendations can be traditional or contemporary; I don't mind as long as you help me out in time to gather the music and practice. By the way, all choirs cancelled rehearsals for thew holiday so I will have to really be on point to play, lead and direct if necessary. What are some of the songs I can render Sunday, the 31st and Monday the 1st?

Maybe you should play a jazzie form of "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" or something that will get the praises up during the New Year. Let the spirit lead you and if the spirit says that you should play "Because He Lives" then that is what you play. Also if you need something to play while the congragation is coming in, just make something up. Use your imagination and the gift that God has given you to usher not only the people in but the spirit also. I hope that Go blesses you and that your church has a God blessed time bringing in the new year.

I agree with u.My choi is going to sing some songs that we already know.I don't have a clue what r we going to sing depends on what leaders are there.

Thanks and God Bless You. I just like to have something in my purse (so to speak) when I sit down to play so the music and songs are befitting for the day's theme which is New Years. Keep the feedback coming.
