Changing My Bass Hardware

Currently I have gold hardware (tuners & bridge) and I am going to to be changing over to "black" Hipshot hardware. The same hardware that is ran on MTD American basses.

Is this an easy change over for myself to do or should I take my ax into a guitar center and let a professional peform this changeover for me? I've found the parts; I just don't wanna mess anything up. If someone has done this type of thngs before, hit me up and let me know. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you find a reputable luthier/guitar tech and not take it to Guitar Center. They can barely do setups there!

OK, sounds good to me. Cause I'm picky about my equipment and I would be pissed if it was messed up in any way. Guess my search is now on for a luthier in my area: Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro.

I've chagned out tuners before.  It's as simple as 1-2-3.  Unscrew and screw the new on in.  The bridge would be the same.  Just unscrew and screw in the new ones.  If they're single pieces just make sure that they're spaced correctly and screw them in.

If you are interested is saving money, you are going to have to learn how to do these things. Most of the questings I hear asked about are easy as 1-2-3. Unless you are refering to adding or changing out pick ups, the rest is easy.
