Preamp and Poweramp vs. Head

If you had a choice of using a preamp and poweramp or a head, which would you prefer and why?

Preamp power amp combo for me.  Its more versatile and easier/cheaper to replace. 
Keep God first and he'll do the rest!!!

Well you do get a ton of headroom with a PA/PA setup but I prefer an all in one (and lightweight) solution!

My experience on this topic is not very long. So far I'd rather hace a head and not them seperate.
