The Eden WT series amps are very meaty compared to the SWR amps. I owned an SWR Bass 750 and Goliath III that is now down at the church. In order to get the same level of bass out of it as I get from my Eden WT800 I set the bass knob at about 3 o'clock. The other night I compared my Nav/WT1250 with an old all tube Sunn 200S. I cranked the bass on the Sunn up all the way and got the same tone that I got with my rig set flat.

The Eden stuff is very meaty, yet also very focused. the SWR stuff tends to be sort of sterile (although you can get a nice slap tone using the aural enhancer, as you can with the Eden using the enhance knob) and the Ampeg is just too muddy and unfocused for me, although, very roadworthy stuff.
The question is what do you want to hear? the second is what can you afford? If you can get a deal on the Hartke's, use them and then later sell them for more than you paid for them, go for it. That's how I got my stuff. Barter here, exchange there, sell this, buy that and the next thing you know, you've got some good stuff.
