Spiritual Gifts

Im borrowing this subject from our very own Sister T.

How many of us know what Spiritual Giftings we have?  Do you fully operate in them?

Spiritual gifts are a "supernatural" ability. They are identified in the Bible in Romans 12:3-8; I Cor 12:8-10, 28-30; and Ephesians 4:11 as:

      Speaking Gifts:
      Apostleship
      Prophecy
      Evangelism
      Sheperding (Pastoring)
      Teaching
      Exhortation
      Word of Knowledge
      Wisdom

      Serving Gifts:
      Helps
      Hospitality
      Giving
      Ruling (Administration)
      Mercy
      Faith
      Discernment

      Signifying Gifts
      Miracles
      Healing
      Tongues
      Interpretation

No sense in me reinventing the wheel. I'll pasting the answer I gave the DIVAS---and I asked them if how are they utilizing the gifts at their church, so this is why mine is worded as such:

My gifts and how are they used (and not):

Teaching - I teach in new members orientation and churchwide studies.

Wisdom ---Used in counseling sessions & teaching

Ruling (Administration) - I am not functioning in this gift, and it is really bothering me. Before I moved to Little Rock I was either working in the church office, organizing programs, or leading ministries. I am not doing any of these things now. However, I have recently volunteered for a project at a new school that will be opening. Prayerfully, my gift will be utilized

Discernment - I mostly use this personally, therefore I am not utilizing this gift within my church.

Tongues- Personal prayer life.

My husband and I discussed this last night how its amazing that you can operate in the gifts and not necessarily know thats what you're doing.

I love when I pray in the spirit...  You don't know what God is saying through you nor does it matter cause it still edifies your spirit.

I have seen a vision or two that have come to pass

I definately operate in descernment now and then

I think all of us at some time or another operate in helps

WELL I OPERATE IN THE OFFICE OF A PROPHET AND TEACHER. MY SPIRITUAL GIFTS OR "SPIRITUALS" (FOR THOSE THAT STUDY GREEK) WOULD BE:

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE
DISCERNMENT
AND OF COURSE TEACHING AND PROPHECY.

      Prophecy - pray for me on this, God has been dealing with me and has given me a word to speak here and there, don't really know where that's going...
      Teaching - this one has been a part of me like breathing for as long as I could remember
      Exhortation - In my own private (non-flashy) sort of way
           Helps - Yup
            Faith - This was prophesied to me, ain't too sure about it, though
      Discernment - This is another one that's like breathing

It was. I found out that people closest to me didnt know. So I hope to spark interest in people going and finding out what they operate in! ;D

The thing I like about our ministry is that each Spiritual gift is explain. Especially prophecy. You have those that operator only when the Spirit of Prophecy is in the room, those who have the Gift of Prophecy (me) and then those called into the office of the prophet.  Its good stuff we're learning.  And we're taught how to be effective and not be "spooky or goofy"! lol ;D
