DUMB QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Do home schooled kids get diplomas? How does that work? Seriously!
In reading B3's post, I had a visual. If home schooling offers diplomas, etc. could we start full-time schools in our churches?
Dumb question, but curiosity made me ask! LOL!
The only dumb question, is one you already know the answer to..
In Florida, you can do it one of two ways. You can either sign them up under an "umbrella school", like a Christian school, so they can receive a 'real' diploma or , if you choose not to do that, the child can take their GED upon completion.
Our kids take the CAT and FCAT tests, and have always made excellent scores on them. So a GED would be easy. My niece did it a different way, received her diploma, and went on to college. I don't remember how she did that. You should check the laws in your particular state.
