Db chord, having trouble
« on: January 04, 2007, 09:18:56 AM »
Okay, i'm still new at this guitar and i really want to get these chords down.. I'm having trouble with the C#/Db chords, how am i suppose to play the Ab and F notes with my pointer finger... Do other people find it difficult or do you just play it on the 4th fret...   I rather play it the most difficult way because i need challenges to help me progress.

Probably the three most common ways to play Db are:

That's a C-form barre chord, and A-form barre chord, and an E-form barre chord and all of your inversions of Db can be found within them.
Music theory is not always music reality.
