I am not from Jackson but I work with some groups down there and travel down there often.
Some organ players to check out there include Marcus Singleton, Chris Gray, and James Salone.

Ive worked with marcus and james in the past but lately everyone has been so hard to catch with up i guess i should leave this region to find new lics becuz most of us sound the same in this area any more suggestions let me know thanks.

I'm from Jackson and use to play drums for Greater Fairview, theres a guy named Detrick Taylor (not sure if he's still there)  He use to work w/ me on keys when I first started playing.  I can track him down if you can't find him.  What church do you play for?

Everyone I mentioned has a drastically different sound.  There are a surprising number of good musicians in that area.  However, if you feel you've exceeded them then you might need to move.

no not to say ive exceeded just everyone's so busy and its time 4 me to shed and update. i have much respect 4 marcus and james i havent run into chris just yet i've only been here 4 a minute but we will probably eventually cross paths.

I've heard of Detric Taylor do u have his #? and im currently playin at Temple Of Praise C.O.G.I.C. 11 o'clock service but also lookin 4 an earlier service know any1?

I'll get his # for you today or tomorrow.  I know of a church thats starts at 9:30, and i don't think they have a organ, but i do know for sure they have a keyboard.  on second thought they have one, i don't know if it works though.  the church's name is Chrisian United Full Gospel its right off of Methodist Farm Road in that curve!  The pastors name is Pastor Franklin Mcduffey

I played in Jackson for 10 years (been gone for 9 years), you have got to hook up with my guy Barry Bolden.  The church I was at might be looking for a musician.  Their service begins at 9:30.  I don't know what you are looking for as far as pay but they were doing alright for that area. Don't quote me on this (I can definitely find out) but you should be able to get at least $450. a week.
