Favorite Grand Pianos
« on: January 20, 2007, 06:31:31 PM »
Hey LGM Family! I've got a quick question for all my serious pianists out there in the land of music. I just started as the m.o.m. at a new church and the first thing that I saw when I got in the sanctuary was this beautiful ebony Young Chang 9 foot grand. Now I've played on many grands during my time as a musician ( Baldwin, Yamaha, Kawai, Schemell, etc.) But this is the first Young Chang that I've played and I must say that it has a beautiful sound and feel. I'm a little partial to the Yamaha family, but I must say that this brand is now one of my favorites.  8)

So musicians, what are your favorite grands to play in a church setting?

I haven't tested much pianos but Yamaha definitely does it for me. Kurzweil sounds good too.

I'm not too big on the Kurzweil pianos, but I've heard that they are nice.

I really like the sound of Yamaha myself, along with kurzweil, however, I am a fan of the Baldwin's sound and feel

I like Yamaha, but there is nothing like the Steinway concert grand pianos.
