...okay, WHERE IS SIMON COWELL????  This girl needs her feelings hurt!!!  ;D ;D ;D

...They should've just kicked the lead singer and dancers out and let Dana do his thing for the audience.  As a matter of fact....Dana should've put his kit up in the front with all the dancers around him.

I'm curious. Is it difficult to get into Berklee?

Does Berklee have a vocal department? If so, who she had to do to get in?

Furthermore, the backup dancers....can't.

All joking aside, that Dana Hawkins is pretty darn fast. I guess he wanted to show Berklee he could play, even if he came across as a show-off, lol...

He could've made things even more interesting in Gospel Chops had he accepted Flat Fifth's invite...

...Yeah Div. but as we all know, at the end of the day there is always someone down the street that is faster than you.  Therefore, he better stop shedding at Berklee and get to learning something.... :-\

If he isn't learning something, it'll be reflected in his performance. He'll be forced out, if that's the case...

I hope it's not.

No, its not extremely difficult to get accepted to Berklee...however, we do have some of the finest young musicians out there. As far as the level of talent in the vocal dept..well, it ranges from ok singers to outstanding singers. As for the backup dancers....well, they werent backup dancers, they were all vocalist at berklee. I would know, I posted that clip on youtube. Berklee is not a performing arts so no we dont have a dance dept. Im sure there are many people who would love the opportunity to attend a school like berklee. Berklee's reputation precedes it..nuff said. Ima rep berklee for life...Class of 2007!!!

..well I think Berklee would actually be very disappointed if they saw this clip.  When I think of Berklee, I think of a school that can take you to a whole other dimension musically "IF" you're true to what it is you want to do.  I think of great teachers and great and sucessful students.  I'm sorry but, I just don't see it on this clip and frankly this clip wouldn't make me go there if it were the first time I've ever heard of "Berklee".  Like I said before, I hope the students are using their time wisely and actually learning something.  If it were me, yall wouldn't see me out in the public like that.  I'd be in the Berklee library and in the practice room studying and learning and improving.  That way I would graduate knowing not only how to play music but compose it and record it just like Dave W. and Steve Smith.........(But, I guess that's just me.)

Well, I guess that is just you. Its just as important to network and socialize as it is to practice and study. One of the best things about berklee are the student concerts. If I didnt network I would never know catz like dana hawkins, justin raines, evan brice, carlin muccullar, thomas pridgen, tim williams etc. I dont agree with the all work, no play theory. I think there should be a balance. You can study and practice at home on you own. You would miss out on the college experience if you isolated yourself in the library. I wouldnt suggest any student limit themselves to just being "in the Berklee library and in the practice room studying and learning and improving." There's no reason why you cant do that and attend concerts. Ive learned how to compose music and I have an active social life as well.

yeah i gotta agree with you koolkeys.  that concert was just for fun.  Ive done a few gigs with Tim and he doesnt play that way and he really does know his stuff.  I can only speak for Tim cause he's the only one I know personally in that video but I think it would be safe to assume that they were just having fun.  thats all.
