You guys would be so proud! Yesterday, I FINALLY got my copy of the DVD from the 2006 songwriters' conference (Memphis Chapter GMWA), featuring "He Reigns"! Herman Dickey does NOT look fat on video (again)....HALLELUJAH!
All of the songs were truly great.
In several places on the DVD, they go back and show highlights (with no sound) of us singing "He Reigns".
But at the end (the closing credits)...there is a newspaper graphic with the headline...EXTRA! EXTRA! SONGWRITERS WORKSHOP HIT....and then we pop out of the middle of the screen doing "He Reigns" AGAIN!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
K-Rock had the band on LOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "He Reigns" (the band) should have been recorded that night! No joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kerrance had this look on his face like "yeah....we bad" and I laughed at that about three times last night! And twice this morning!!! It was cool!!!
Ricco made the organ sing! People's faces turned from "what are they about to do" to total and complete shock and bewilderment!!!!!!!!!!! He was actually the best organist who played that night (LITERALLY)!!! I am really outdone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the end, when they passed out the trophies you could see the look of pure pleasure on my face...a look I haven't seen in a minute!!!
But in all, the song and the DVD turned out well and made me proud to be a songwriter whose music seems to really be reaching people!
Truly, I thank God for everyone who supported me 100%.
Lord....bring back the days when I was not fat........LOL!!!
