Brand NEW!

I am endeavoring to learn to play the Organ.  After witnessing so much drama in my church with securing a musician I am moved to now ask the Lord to annoint MY hands in ministering in music during our services.  Where should I begin???  I am musically inclined, having played the clarinet for many years and I can peck out a song on the piano enough to teach one at choir rehearsal, so where would I begin???  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

MY FIRST ADVICE TO YOU IS PRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE-BEFORE I BEGAN PLAYING AT AGE 11 -I PEAKED AS WELL ON THE PIANO-- (BUT I WANTED TO PLAY THE ORGAN)- I PRAYED TO GOD ABOUT IT-I TOLD HIM THIS WAS SOMETHING I WANTED TO DO-THAT SUNDAY I GOT MY HANDS ANOINTED BY MY PASTOR -(I STILL DO)-THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER-I WENT FROM THE PIANO TO THE ORGAN-I STARTED PRACTICING ON THE ORGAN AT CHURCH EVERY WEEK (ME AND GOD ALONE)-THAT'S WHEN HE GIVES YOU STUFF-AND I STILL DO TODAY-I LOVE LEARNING NEW STUFF-AFTER 19 YRS NOW-IT WORKED OUT FOR ME- GOD HAS TRULY ANOINTED ME - I PLAY  BY EAR - NO LESSONS, I CANNOT READ NOTES-I JUST GO WITH THE FLOW THAT GOD GAVE ME -AND I THANK GOD EVERYDAY- IT IS TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD - THE BIBLE SAYS," HE WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART"- AND I PRAY THAT HE BLESSES YOU WITH YOUR OWN UNIQUE GIFT IN LEARNING THE ORGAN - BE ENCOURAGED!!!!- GO FOR YOUR DESIRE!!!- WATCH GOD MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to correct you Bishop - I believe the correct spelling for "Ditto" is "Y-e-s-i-n-d-e-e-d" with an optional "D-o-c".

I am in a situation also where I have this burning desire to learn the organ.  I practice due to my work schedule and services at church atleast 3 times a week for about 3hours minimum.  God will begin to give you stuff.  Im learning to use the foot pedals and the best advice I was given is know those scales like you know Jesus!  It helps alot!
