So does your Pastor participate in Praise in Worship Nardo73?

MrSparrow

Not all of the time: he usually leaves it up to myself or the P&W team. However, if there is a dragging behind with the singing or the music itself, he steps in to take it to another level, especially if there is something on his heart for the people.
When the anointing comes in, it can take a total new direction whether it comes from the Organist, Singer or the Pastor. But remember first, everything flows from the head, so it’s very important the two of you agree and share the same vision. This may be something to pray and meditate on.

Oooooo-kay.

That's a whole lot of reading. Somebody give me a summary.  ;)

For the folks who complain that I (as well as other mods) allow a thread to "get by" and delete theirs----this is why----I can't possibly read every post, so if you want your carziness to fly (not saying this post is crazy, 'cause I'm not reading it), make it a super long post.  :D
LOL!! I wasn't gonna admit it...

Prasie report,

I talked with my Pastor about my concerns and he agreed that he would join us again. He understands that if he doesn't exhibit the lifestyle of a worshipper then the sheep won't do it either.

My pastor used to come out a few minutes before his sermon and as a direct or indirect result of that practice about 80% of the church comes late to church (I mean only the first 2 or 3 rows) but almost EVERY service is jam packed by the time the Pastor comes up.

He rebuked the church for being so absent in mind and in presence when it comes to praise and worship time. He even said that he would do a better job of being present to worship. He taught briefly on the importance of not allowing the worship team to worship FOR the people as a substitute but challenged the people to open their mouths and to raise their voices for themselves.

Is that the same thing I do and my worship leaders do? YES! Was it received better by the people coming from the Apostle/Pastor? YES!

Anywho, we're making progress...

To GOD be the GLORY!

At the church I go to while I'm at school, the Pastor does not come out for Praise and Worship.  Reason being is that he has not made it to the church yet.  He is still in the air coming from OH.

The former Bishop (who passed away suddenly) would come out at the very end of praise and worship, and that to me seemed like it was a show, especially since he is there hours before service starts. :-\

Based on what I'm hearing, I have a lot of respect for your pastor.  Many don't take it that well, and in the constructive light in which it was given.

There are a lot of Pastors that don't participate during the worship, and that is sad. I travel to other churches a lot during the week and I see it. My Pastor, however, used to be a worship leader, so he already has the heart of a worshiper. Any MOM that has a Pastor that worships should be thankful. As far as for your Pastor that doesn't worship, pray for him and let God take care of it. Pray that God will invade Him with a passion to worship. Then, stand back and see what happens!

You be blessed and encouraged! You may be set in that house to help change the atmosphere!
