Need help urgently!!!!

Hi! I need some advise.

I am new to producing and have an average setup i.e:

Korg TR61 keys
Mackie 12 Channel mixer
Alesis m1 monitors
P4 PC
Rhode NT1 microphone

I have a friend who has offered to give me a yamaha motif 8 in exchange for my entire setup.

Please help me decide what to do.

Is it worth the swop?

hmmm... well, a used Yamaha Motif 8 is worth around $1500 tops.

Your TR61 is worth $1000, plus you have that other stuff, so you easy have about $2500 worth of equipment- so if you traded it would not be in your best interests.

See if he'll trade like the TR61 & the computer for the motif... but DEFINITELY DO NOT TRADE ALL YOUR STUFF FOR ONLY THE MOTIF 8!!!!

with the computer, you can buy Plugins that have sounds.........keep it...dont get gypped...
