no1

the exercise is always in octavves to develop dexterity in both hands in its most basic sense its

RH 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2   -   1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2  - 1  2 3 4 5 4 3 2
     C E F G A G F E  -   D F G A B A G F  - E G A B C B A G
LH  5 4 3 2 1 2 3 4   -  5 4 3 2 1 2 3  4  - 5 4 3 2 1 2 3 4

It goes up two octaves then it comes back down after the second B

Heres where it turns around:

RH 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2  -  5 4 3 2 1 2 3 4  then come down and resolve
     B D E F G F E D  - G E D C B C D E
LH 5 4 3 2  1 2 3 4  - 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2

Resolutioin

RH    5 4 3 2 1 2 3 4 - Back to the top
       G E D C B C D E
LH    1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2

You repeat this several times, to practice evenly, and then for speed, but it will develop the dexterity and strength and accuracy in 2 -3 particular fingers per excercise. You should be cycling between the 2 octaves in this excercise over and over and over and over. Then you move on to the next one. Good luck Zacke, but get the book dude. It pretty much guarantees whole hand dexterity if you just follow their plan.
