Hey everyone. I've been registered here for a little while but hadn't jumped in until now, so I figured I'd introduce myself... my name is Mike, and I'm a bass-o-holic, then end.
I started playing the upright in my elementary school orchestra after my paws got to big for the violin. Once I got to high school, I was 'drafted' into the jazz band (my teacher probably would have had me in there whether I wanted to be or not!) and had fun with that, but after HS I didn't have the time to continue.
Fast forward 10+ years later, moved from Detroit to Austin, and I'm back on it again. I was hiding behind headphones at home for the longest, afraid that I wasn't up to it, but started playing in church late last year. Best thing I could have done, nothing better than doing something you love and enjoy for the glory of God!
