I had the opportunity to play on this head at Guitar Center on the Tama Bubinga kit with Iron Cobra Power Glide double pedals. It felt pretty solid  (closed promo front head). I did not like the feel without the pad snapped to it. It has a flat sound thump that is clean/articulate but lacked bottom end tone and resonance. sound good with double pedal flurries though. I like this head better than Aquarian SuperKicks any day. It's not enought to give up my EMAD though.

...just got back.  I tried it and it's pretty cool.  I actually had more fun with a kit that had a regular EMAD with EQ Pad inside than the PowerSonic but it was okay. :-\
