Yes.  It happened two Sundays ago.  After Praise & Worship, it was one long Altar Call.  AMAZING!!!!

Yes, at my home church and my current church.
There have also been times when the choir only did one song instead of two because the first one tore the church up.  I love services like that.

me too. I love to see the HolyGhost have his way. I hate when people try to get the service back in order. I be like just let it flow. When the preacher says something like "we gotta move on" I get a little upset because somebody may have something going on in their lives that they just need to shout out.

I know I have been in situations when all I needed was a good shout and I felt a whole lot better.

Yep.  Actually, it goes beyond shouting, dancing and such, and just goes into pure unhindered WORSHIP.  That's when you just have to forget about your so-called "order of service" and let God have His way.  Read a scripture before you dismiss and that's that.

I haven't seen that happen since I was little.  I think I was like nine or ten years old the last time I saw that happen.  And to let my dad tell it (since he still goes to this church), they probably haven't even had a simple praise break in years...at least not unless it was a musical celebration of some sort. 

Now at my current church I have seen where the pastor didn't get to FINISH his sermon because the spirit took over.  It was funny at the end because when the praise break was finally over, he joked that "we'll just have to wait until next week to get Zacchaeus outta that tree."

You know, I've posed the question pertaining to this scenario and have yet to get an answer.  It's a funny situation, but a serious question.

That's only happened 2 or 3 times when our former pastor was at our church.  Hasn't happened since.  Not that that's a bad thing ~ just hasn't happened.  Baptistchurchman ~ are you back or just peeking in?

I believe that every church should experience a time or two every now and again where the Holy Sprit tears up your official program and do what it wants to do. Now I do believe in order but every now and then order needs to take the back seat.

I have been peeking my head in a little bit for the past few days, but I am still trying to keep it under control. I guess you can say back but not too back ....lol

we have what we call 'blowout services" or a "holyghost takeover" in which people just begin to rush to the alters while the worship is going on and the spirit just seems to engulf the place.
as long as it's not conjured up I have no problem with going with the leading of the spirit. too many churches have simply organized the holyghost out of their services.
on the other hand, i've seen on a couple of occasion, the preacher try to hype everyone up simply because he didn't feel like preaching
