Audio of T Pridgen on Christian Scott's album
« on: April 04, 2007, 10:59:50 AM »

REMOVED.  Copyright Material.

Hey guys I am excited to post these clips. T Pridgen and Nat townsley (BK stand up!!!) are my two favorite drummers and let me just tell you T pridgen goes off on this album. I would post the whole album but that just wouldnt be right lol. I am also asking for you guys prayers because i am finishing my bachelors degree at Rutgers University, and i am currently looking in to music schools in order to get a degree in music and hopefully obtain a masters degree there after. If you guys can make any suggestions to help me out that would be great but if not then i only ask for your prayers. Well enough of me, enjoy the clips, Thomas is a great drummer

I got this CD when it was initially released.  You can get it from Best Buy for $9.99.  It's good.

Regarding your Master's degree aspiration, I am not sure what suggestions you need.  What specifically are you looking for?  I know that you want to obtain your M.A., however, you did not specifiy what obstacles or questions that you may have.

If it's funding, I would look into obtaining fellowships from the college.  Those are the best way to go - actually better than loans, because you don't have to pay those back.

Well thanks for the advice regarding the funding as this is always an obstacle lol... But I guess what im asking is, when i go for auditions, what are they looking for, also are their any recommendations for certain schools and their percussion/drum programs? I am from Brooklyn  so i know about Manhattan school of music and Drummers collective etc.... but are there any places that are especially know for having great instructors and successful alumni? Also, do you think it is best to get with a teacher before auditioning for these schools?

Honestly, I would go to the University of North Texas. If I wanted to persue that type of musical endeavor, I would go there in a heartbeat!!!

It's not for the faint of heart, though

If you can buy it out of the store, then dont post it!  These artists and musicians work hard and they dont deserve their music to be given away for free.
