It's actually Jetro DA Silva instead of De Silva. My apologies... :P ;) :D

His prowess is showing to be much broader than I thought it was.  He played with so much authenticity.  He had a Weckl-esque vibe to the things he was doing, and looked like he was having so much fun!  I don't know whre my homie DIV is, but his "guilty pleasure" ha re-surfaced.

Does anyone know of any albums or other concert footage that we can check Dana out on other than what has been posted on the board?

Hey Juse, late last month I heard Dana did a live recording in New York with jazz recording artist Jeremy Pelt. I believe the name of the band was Wired( i'm not sure). I here it is was great. Check it out on myspace or google or something, you should be able to find somethin on it. I'm not sure when the CD drops. P.S.- the way he was working the ride reminded me so much of a young Tony Williams.  :o 8)

Aww boy please!!!! :D I love Tony Williams. He, Elvin Jones, Roy Haynes, those guys were genius on the drums, ultimate musician's. They make the music come to you and you feel it. That clip on drummerworld of Tony when he was like 17 playing with Miles Davis...still probably my favorite drum clip ever dude.
