I don't know what to say.... I'm just humbled...  Really I just want to be a blessing to people, because there are musicians out there that have lost the focus for ministry and are leaning to fame and fortune.  They don't seem to realize the ole sayin "Your gift will make room for you".

All we have to do as minstrels and levites is be available, and our gifts will make room.

Luv ya Nina & Cliff, we all gotta hook up soon and break bread...  ;)

So this is the Brooklyn style.  Well whatever style it is it's very good.  It sounded good to me. She is very creative. and rhythmic.

I read a comment regarding men's and women's styles of playing.  I would like to add my two cents, if I may.

I really admired Shirley Scott out of Philly in the 50's and 60's.  She was married to Stanley Turrentine the saxophonist who wrote the tune "Sugar".  Stanley had a big hit off that tune. Shirley could play well although she generally didn't play bass lines.  She used a bass player.

The female style is generally not as aggressive as the male style and I am not sure why. It might be testosterone verses estrogen.  I notice that the college girls are playing a much more agressive style of women's basketball than they used to.  Men are generally leaders. Usually they are risk takers, strong-willed and greedy as hell. Hell is in the Bible, by the way. However this is not true in all cases.  The male symbol is usually a pointed symbol, while the female symbol is a cup to receive.  I worship the sacred female.  If God had made anything better, He would have kept it for Himself.

This lady can play well and she deserves all the recognition that she can get for her talent as a gospel organist.

Historically musicians are usually men in Africa as well as the rest of the world, however there have always been some women who destinguished themselves as musicans.

The greatest mistake most amateur musicians make is giving up.  Don't give up !!!

Hey there!!! Ya'll talkin bout me??? LOLOLOL!!  :D ;D  It's all good.  The scripture says: "I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh."  I think that kinda sums it up.  We are all God's instruments and I just happen to be a lady. I am so grateful that the Lord would even place His anointing on me and in me.  I got some more recent clips from a couple of weeks ago, posted on youtube, check them out and tell me whacha think.  Love you all..  :) ;)

God bless

Well THAT came outta left field.

You KNOW I'm not in the super spiritual club.

But that statement DEFINITELY needed some clarification.

Linell, is truly a  highly anointed lady on the organ, and keys.I pray that on day  Linell, Yolanda, Nina, and Johnetta would come together and do a organ concert. that  would be a such blessing for these four ladies to come together ministered in their God-given gift(that should be video). they each compliment each other on the Hammond. and they all give God the praise for their gift. It not about aggression,it about giving God the glory with all your might. Nell keeping on playing and keep on praying. Linell and your 88 hot fingers are truly anointed.
