well i can totally understand where you are coming from, really!! i have only been playing for a few months and it is very hard to learn how to play. Where do you need help at? in what area do you need help? do you not understand progressions or chords, circle of 5th i will see what i can do to help you. the number one thing when you are leaning how the play an instrument is to pray that God annoint your hands. (I am not say you dont pray) (lol) but i was told to do this everytime i get on the organ or piano and it has worked for me. (smile)

Hi, monalisa...  I know where your frustration comes from.  You feel that, because you post song request after song request -- and no one responds -- the people on here don't care about helping you.  I don't think that's the problem.  To be perfectly honest with you, I think that a lot of the songs that you've requested are simply not played in many of the churches represented by those who chord songs on this site.  Most of the really gifted musicians on here who do chord songs play for churches that sing more contemporary music; consequently, they either don't play or simply aren't familiar with the songs for which you request chords.  If I were you, I would probably post midis of the songs that you want help with -- as well as the chords that you've been able to figure out for yourself -- and then request help.  You might discover that there's more assistance available on this site than you know about.  I wish that I were gifted at chording songs so that I could help you.  But, I can barely play a 1-4-5 song by ear; so, I'm not your girl...  ;D  Don't give up.  Just try a different approach...  ;)

hi, if you can't find what you need here there are two websites that i go to which is www.gospelkeyboard.com go to the links and hit free stuff there are songs that go way back as well as up to date. you will get the chords and the lyrics together plus the keys they are played in. depending on your taste you can also go to www.higherpraise.com/lyrics. there is plenty of help out there. i couldn't tell one note from the other let alone music theory or any of the other stuff that goes with becoming a good pianist. this site has been a tremendous help to me and the people that answer my request are most helpful so please, don't give god has the help you seek and it's here. i pray all the time for god's help and his annointing of my hands and this really does help. god has a plan for you and he knows your willingness to learn and you will succeed.

One thing we all have to remember is posting chords is not an easy thing.  It takes alot of time.  Try posting the chords to a song you know hwow to play and you will see.

The main thing here is not to give up.  Learning to play gospel music is not an easy task.  You have to just stick in there and keep on pushing forward.

:) :)HI Mona Lisa, i read your post and this is a little something not to offend anyone or hurt anyone's feelings so please don't take it that way.  Iam 53yrs young will be 54 the 19th of June. I've played by ear since i was 5yrs old. I was taught 3 hymns by my mom, everything else i learned on my own. I took the incentive to better myself with no ones help but my own, plus back then you could'nt find a musician to help you, because few people played panio, most played the guitar. My mom attempted to put me in 2 music schools but i did'nt have the time and miss out on a great opportunity. But never the less, i continued on playing and realized thru teachings from my current pastor that God wants our best in any service we give him, even our playing. I honestly though i was giving my best until he took me out of the little area i was living in and place me in a place where i came up against the big boys. I began to hear and know that i could do better and that i was behind in my style of playing.  So i stop making excuses and began to do what i could to improve my gift. I prayed and God open up resources like this for me to find, that have taught me so much. I found songs that i had heard on the radio and i wanted to learn, so i bought the cd and printed out the post from this site and played behind the cd until i learn the song and could play it without the posted chords. In doing that it taught me chords i have always heard but could never play, simply behind learning to play posted songs on this site. If you can't afford cd's tape the song off the radio or borrow the cd from some-one you know who is a musican we usually have loads of cd's especially if you play for a church. In saying all of that i want you to know that there is so much useful info on this site, that if you take one step by learning all you can from the different post, he'll take 2 steps and improve your playing and your ear for songs you want to learn.  PLEASE, PLEASE reconsider your statements, i too have posted request and did'nt see them right then sometime a month or two later, sometime never, but i realize these beautiful gifted people are taking the time out of there busy day, from work, school, wife, husband, children and sitting down to bless us with songs that are FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!They don't have tooo they are'nt getting one dime for these post, it is from the kindness of there heart to give away what God has given them, and i truly thank them because without them i would be in a serious struggle to learn to play alot of the music i here. So instead of getting angry and frustrated, i thank God he has blessed others to post that's gifted enough to do it. I have had to pay musicians $15.00 per song for songs that were not chorded out as well and as close to the music as these. PLEASE don't take this as a beat down because it's not, i just want you to look at the whole picture and see they don't have to chord not one song for anyone but they do it out of the kindness of there hearts. I have tried to chord out a song and guess what, if you don't know it that well and have to stop and listen to every chord, or even if you do know the song it ain't a play time in the park doing it. The young man made a very true statement if you pray before you play or practice, God will do a lot with a little. Take the one fish and five loaves bread and thousands and thousands of people were fed, if he can do that i know he can take these 10 fingers of mine and work miracles, but guess what you got to come to the table with a open mind and recepive heart and a willingness to do what-ever, what-ever, it takes to reach your goal, even if you don't receive what you want from the source you are using. Don't let the enemy use your frustration to the point of making you your own worse enemy and hinder your blessings. You can do all things thru Christ who strengtens you, go deep inside yourself and find that hidden nugget you need to thrust you pass your limitations. P.S, in closing make sure this is the gift God gave you and the area he needs and wants you for his service, you can't be out of line with him and his will, you'll stay frustrated, seek him and pray and he'll show you and direct you to where you need to go. God bless you and heaven continue to smile down on you, your sister in Christ, FORGIVING. :) :) :) :) :), remember this was posted to help not to hurt.
