« on: April 16, 2007, 09:17:44 PM »
sup yall i had my eyes on the HHX but never really got to play alot.  I did play a 16" 0-Zone :'( :o and watched someone play a pair of 14" Groove hats and a groove ride. I know some of yall have played many or watched somebody play them, and so i was wonderin' which crashes and splashes out of the line do some of you prefer.

Note: I will test some out someday but it's gonna be a longgg time lol, we got bootleg music stores down here lol.

....the O-Zone is still the truth no matter what Zildjian does.  The 16" is cool but the 18" is where it's at.  Sabian's HHX Evolution Crashes and Splashes are cool too.  I like all of the Evo's.  If I had to get anything else HHX, it would probably be the Studio Crashes.

I have the 13" HHX Groove Hats (brilliant), 10" HHX Evolution Splash 14" HHX Evolution Mini China and the 18" HHX Evolution Ozone.  That's what I prefer, since I own them, lol!  :)

...no we don't have "a" Guitar Center or Sam Ash.  We have 2 Guitar Centers, 2 Sam Ash Stores and 1 Five Star Drum Dealer (Drums2go) ;D ;D  The best in the planet and the word is quickly going around as to what goes on in there. ;D

Well it really depends on what kind of sound you like. If you like bright hhx then get some HHX Evolutons. See i have Evolution crashes and a HHX Manhattan Jazz crash. Really it all depends on how do you play and what do you like to hear. So you can go to sabian.com and check out the whole series. dont go by peoples opinion everybody likes different sounds.

We've been saying this for quite some time, but we still oblige the posters whenever the question is posed.

I have the HHX Evolution 16" crash and 10" splash and I love them. I plan to get an 18" which i actually recommend over the 16" crash. the 18" Ozone is where its at. The 17" Effects crash with 3 rivets is nasty. the 14" HHX Evolution china is a hands down show dog and crowd pleaser.
The 13" and 15" Groove Hats are like whoa. Will be ordering some 15"s soon.

The 14" HHX studio crash is nice and warm. The 20" HHX China is like a hot tube feel with the sound of the ocean.
