OK. As many of you know, I am in love with me Pearl African Mahogany Snare. Its just phenomenal. However, its been very ringy lately and hasn't been tuning very nice. When setting it on my snare stand at Church this morning, I noticed that right above the Snare Butt, There is about a half dollar sized dent/crack In the Wood!!! I turned it over, and sure enough, its pushed through to the inside...
So 2 things. 1, is that whats been causing my sound issues?
2. Can it be fixed? How in the world would I fix it? Who could fix it? Should I just drill a large whole that encompasses the damage, and turn the mistake into a large vent hole?
Please help...I've never dealt with this before.
God Bless.
