I recommend Jermaine Griggs course "The secrets to playing piano by ear" Hear and Play .com. That book will teach you a lot about theory in general which will help you understand chord construction and recognition, and it comes with a cd rom with examples on it. However, practicing the various chord qualities in all keys is the "key" . This takes a lot of practice. That ability to instantly know what a chord is when you see the symbol is acquired with many hours of practice. Not only do you need to know what it is, but you need to be able to get to it quickly with your fingers!!!!
You also need to understand how those chords function in a song as well. I recommend this book because it will take you step by step so that you don't have any "holes" in your learning. (ie. knowing what a C9+5 is, but not understanding what an augmented interval is or what a dominant or subdominant is) These concepts are necessary if your goal is to learn to play well.
