Hi Im Nu hurr Could someone help me learn bass on-line ;D

Welcome to LGM!!!

I think what you will find is that we here at LGM can give you tips and information that will help you progress faster along your journey to become a gospel bass player.  You can LEARN, but how much we can TEACH is up to you.

If you are new to the bass, and especially if you are new to music, I have three very important pieces of advice for you....

1)  Get an instructor
2)  Seriously.  GET AN INSTRUCTOR (nobody ever listens the 1st time  ;) )
3)  Practice SOMETHING every day

We obviously don't know what level of capability or understanding you are at today, but if you read through the threads where people are asking for help on specific issues you are more than likely going to find responses that can help you in your situation.  I've been playing for years and I often find people asking questions I never knew I had.  And more importantly, someone usually has an answer.

Peace,

James

I'm in the same boat.  We both have to consistantly practice.  And if you don't already know your scales and fret board, let that be your foundation.  I have a few musician friends that have given me some good sound advice. And that is... Knowing your scales as oppossed to just knowing the song is like the difference between color tv and a black and white tv.  (Depending on your age you may or may not be able to relate to that.  Color tv compared to black and white opens up another deminsion to the music you hear and play.)

Be encouraged and remember, all that you do - do it as unto the Lord.  Amen
