We are far enough along that I can formally annouce that there will be a drum clinic/jam session in July on Friday the 13th in jacksonville FL. Its set to be at Southside COGIC, the same venue as the Spanky Shed last year. The clinic is scheduled to begin at 7:15, with the jam session to follow at 9pm. Right now, we are looking at a $10 admission to the clinic, and free admission to the Jam, though that is subject to change. There may be another clinician in addition to Calvin, but that is not final yet, so I will not mention a name. As for the jam. It is open to all, and will be similar in format to the Spanky shed. I am trying to obtain verbals from some well know, or marginally known musicians now to see if they are attending. I hope to be able to update with names in the next couple of weeks. SHould be a hot night. Calvin has also mentioned that he will be showcasing some music from his upcoming CD. There should also be some giveaways. Hope to see many of you there.....but if you can't make it...at least spread the word. I hope to have a great turnout

Also, if anyone knows someone who can help with the design of flyers (good looking ones, not ones that lok like a ovice created on word) PM me. Thanks

The flyer is almost ready, so spread the word everyone. All kids 14 & under attending the clinic will receive a free gift as long as we still have stuff to give away.

This is an older post.....But to update, the flier is posted in the thread that Lil John started. John is also the 2nd Clinician. I'll see if John can update some of the names that will be there that have given verbals so far.

Just an update......I have received confirmation that a number of recording artists will sending signed copies of their CD's and or DVD's for give aways at the clinic. You got to be at the clinic portion to have a chance to get one though. I would also mention some of the names who have said that they will be at the jam, but since they are not obligated, I will not. All I will say is that some tremendous talent will be coming to the jam session....Hope to have everyones support who is able to come. A successful event ensures that we can continue with more....not to mention Calvin and Lil John educating the masses.

Any LGM members that show up, needs to come up and introduce themselves.

Lil John will be prominent during the event so you'll see him for sure, but me. I'm low profile...just ask for me. You guys definitely need to get up there in the Jam and do your thing.
